Perfect for the industrial field, CoDeSys is the software for programming according to the IEC 61131-3 standard. In fact, it allows you to choose among five programming languages to develop your applications. Specifically: IL (Istruction list), LD (Ladder Diagram, linguaggio a contatti), ST (Structured Text), FBD (Function Block Diagram) and SFC (Sequential Functional Chart).
Why is it so important? Simple: in industry, it is considered the ultimate SoftPLC. This is why ESA Automation has integrated the CoDeSys system in its PLC products.
The goal of the IEC 61131 standard, developed by the International Electrotechnical Commission, Is to guarantee users an open development ambient, in which the PLC based control architectures are located.
