NERVO, New ESA Servo Driver

With NERVO servo drive, ESA presents a compact and reliable control solution for traction and pump applications. Available in three different sizes, with continuous current output ranging from 30A up to 130A, it allows you to control a wide range of motors, such as synchronous brushless PMAC motors and asynchronous motors, all with configurable feedback.

NERVO servo drive: technical specifications

With battery voltage between 24 Vdc and 72 Vdc, NERVO controllers provide OEMs with great balance of power, performance and functionality. CANopen standard fieldbus communication and different configurable on-board I/Os complete the package.

NERVO connection layout has three receptables for easy installation (1x motor feedback, 1x I/O and CANopen, 1x serial communication). In addition, it features heavy duty M6 busbars for motor and battery connectors.

Other technical specifications of NERVO:

  • Configurable Feedback
  • Firmware customization
  • 2 Digital inputs
  • 2 Analogue inputs
  • 3 Internal Temperature Sensor
  • 1 Inclinometer for safe control of dangerous behavior of vehicle

Applications of NERVO servo drive

The new ESA servo drive stands out for its compactness, robustness and efficiency, which make it ideal for integration in very tight spaces without compromising or derating the output performance. Furthermore, its design has been studied and optimized to minimize installation costs, whilst still maintaining superior reliability even in the most demanding applications.

NERVO can be configured and controlled via the TKSED software, which offers the following options:

  • Parameters Configuration
  • Current, Speed and position adjustment
  • Basic set-up
  • I/O debugger
  • CAN debugger
  • Drive Programmer
  • Scope
